Work/Office Make-Up: Your Thoughts!

Hey!!

I usually love to give beauty tips, reviews, favorites, and etc. But this post is different. In this post I am asking all of you lovelies for advice and opinion. So please leave me a comment with your thoughts.

Work-appropriate (office) make-up: What is it?
What is too much, and what is too little?

FACE
Foundation: yes or no
Concealer: yes or no
Bronzer: yes or no
Blush: yes or no

EYES
Eyeshadow: yes or no
Darker Crease color: yes or no
Eyeliner on waterline: yes or no
Eyeliner along lash line: yes or no
Mascara: yes or no (what effect?)
Highlighter below brow: yes or no
Anything else?

LIPS
Lip liner: yes or no
Lipstick: yes or no (what color?)
Lip gloss: yes or no

I would love to hear your opinions. If you want to do a reply blog to this, please do so and leave me a comment so I know to read it.

Personally, I do my usual look to work...the one that you've seen in previous blog's photos because that's me. I love glamour, although not too much in an office setting. I believe no matter where you go, you should look cute. But what is too cute for work? Can't wait to hear from you all!!!

FACE
Foundation: yes
Concealer: yes
Bronzer: no
Blush: yes (light color)

EYES
Eyeshadow: yes (one neutral color)
Darker Crease color: no
Eyeliner on waterline: no

Highlighter below brow: no
Anything else?

I sit in an office all day pretty much by myself and do medical coding and billing so I just save my more dramatic looks for other times.

nikkiga1530 - natural beauty :-)!!! You know, I am def guilty of the eye make up...although not dramatic I definitely darken the crease, line my eyes, and use mascara...two coats. I tried to not line the waterline, but thought I looked tired without it, so lined it after all. I'll work harder on maintaining a natural look at work though. I will do pictures once I achieve that!

I would say everything on the face, you could go without the fondation if u have nice skin, also you could choose between the blush and bronzer =)

Mascara is a must! Eyeshadow is no need, but it looks good to. And maybe a lipsyl or something.

But anyway, im more natural wearing makeup, so that's why i would choose this, hehe ;-)

Emma - Love your style! Looks like if you and I worked together, we'd be in the same glamour boat! I think its fun to enhance your features, but at a much lower rate in the office...oh those darn lights! :-). Actually, I've been doing NO tanning whatsover, and because I am sooooo pale now, I can only handle concealer..everything else does not match. Even the tinted moisturizer is too dark. And because I just moved and now trying to save money, I have not gone make up shopping for the new pale me! ha :-) Does your color change much from season to season?

I've never worked in an office so I don't really know but I said yes to all. LOL I'm just thinking of what I'd do. I think you can still do all of those things in a light natural way without looking overdone. When working with people you want to look professional and classy not drab and boring. I would stick to light neutral matte colors without a lot of shimmer. Light cheeks and light lips... Nothing to bright. So. , yes to all... For me!

I think you should just keep it simple on the eyes. Not too dramatic. Great blog girlie!

Thank you for all the feedback girlies :-)

I'm going to say yes to everything as long as your apply everything with a light hand, and choose neutral colors Don't distract your coworkers away from your natural beauty or even intelligence. Most of the time at work, workers judge the girl that wears make up, or too much for that matter as the airhead, and you don't want that. Just no falsies, and I think you'll be all set. :)

Haha Thank you, Nu Nu Doll!! You have a good point.

I think you should think about what job you're going to. If you're facing clients every single day, you should look as a natural beauty. If you work in a restaurant, you can put on a little more, but if you see buisnessman of women every day, use just a little to compliment your beauty.
